JAVA Developer
📍Northern Virginia
Responsible for the design and development of Java code for a large-scale Federal IT Program, this role demands a strong expertise in Java and related technologies to build robust, scalable, and secure applications. The developer will work on creating high-quality, efficient, and reusable code that meets stringent government standards and compliance requirements. In addition to coding, the role involves collaborating with a team of developers, analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that align with the program’s strategic goals. The developer will also contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment, ensuring that the solutions are well-documented and maintainable. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, the ability to handle complex technical challenges, and a commitment to improving existing software systems. The successful candidate will also engage in continuous learning to keep up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and security practices relevant to government IT projects.
Responsibilities included
- Responsible for design and development of Java code for a large-scale Federal IT Program
Minimum Requirements
- B.S. degree in IT or Computer Science
- 3+ years of hands-on Java development experience
- Experience with Spring boot
- Experience with Spring boot security
- Experience using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git)
- 2+ years’ experience with using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git)
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in a large-scale Federal IT Program
- Experience with Agile delivery framework
- Experience with Web development technologies such as REACT
- Experience with Dev/Ops and CI/CD process
Clearance
- Willing to go thought a Security Clearance or Public Trust Background Investigation
